Teresa Brown, BS, TTS is a dedicated public health professional with nearly 25 years at the New Hampshire (NH) Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program, initially serving as a Youth Prevention Coordinator before assuming her current role as the Tobacco Treatment Program Manager in 2005. In her role, Teresa oversees the management of QuitNow-NH, NH’s tobacco quitline, through a partnership with National Jewish Health’s Health Initiatives Division. She collaborates closely with the NH Office of Medicaid Services to support quitline cost-sharing initiatives and works alongside the Bureau of Mental Health Services and the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services to enhance tobacco treatment accessibility for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Teresa is also deeply involved in training and technical assistance, equipping healthcare professionals with evidence-based tobacco treatment interventions. Additionally, she leads NH’s tobacco treatment workforce development scholarship initiative, fostering professional growth in the field of tobacco dependence treatment. Beyond her professional commitments, Teresa enjoys spending time with her five grandsons and her horse, Arrow.
