Treating Special Populations

Quitting is challenging for everyone, but some patients need a little extra support. That’s why QuitNow-NH has proven strategies to address the unique needs of people experiencing behavioral health conditions or who are pregnant—offering them more intensive and frequent coaching. Behavioral Health Services
People with a mental illness and those with substance use disorder experience higher tobacco use, exposure, and related health harms.1 Additionally, people who are getting treatment for using alcohol or other substances are more likely to be successful in their recovery when they quit tobacco, too.2

QuitNow-NH offers your patients an intensive and frequent treatment protocol based on their behavioral health condition including up to seven coaching calls, additional calls to follow-up, and 12 weeks of medications to assist with quitting.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Program (PPP)
QuitNow-NH offers extra support and resources for pregnant people—because quitting is never easy, but with the right plan, your patient can be successful.

Through this program, your patient receives up to five coaching calls during their pregnancy, and an additional four coaching calls postpartum. Together, the patient and their coach will create a personalized plan that includes coaching, pregnancy-specific education, support, follow-up, and medication (if prescribed). Watch this video to learn how QuitNow-NH supports pregnant people.
